Idea Analyst and Associates (IAA) can assist non profit organizations who have obtained their 501c3 status in the process of raising funding from grant making organizations. There are many private and public foundations that make grants, each having their own areas of funding priority. The key factor in the first step to obtaining grants is to identify which foundations have priorities that your program or project falls under. Categories include but are not limited to: disadvantaged youth, healthcare, aging services, education, and pragmatic technical training programs, for example. Once the relevant grant making organizations are identified, the process can begin. Many grant making organizations require a letter of inquiry before a full proposal can be submitted. If they are interested upon receiving the letter of inquiry (LOI), your organization would be contacted and invited to submit a full proposal. There are other instances where your initial contact with the foundation can be the submittal of a full proposal. When preparing the proposal it is always important to do research not only about certain aspects relating to your project, but to do research regarding what the grant maker would like to see as a result of providing funding to your organization/project. We can effectively assist you in all aspects of the grant making process to include research of appropriate funding sources, preparing the LOI's, and the submittal of a full proposal.
